Welcome to InMe, an interactive, story-driven video application. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of InMe.
InMe is developed and operated by Zibing Cai as an individual developer. InMe is available on both iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).
By downloading, installing, or using InMe, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
1.1 Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using InMe, you acknowledge that:
You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms
You have read and agree to our Privacy Policy
You are at least 18 years of age
You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement
1.2 Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via:
In-app notification
Email (if provided)
Prominent notice in InMe
Continued use of InMe after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and Account
2.1 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years old to use InMe.
The App contains romantic themes and suggestive content suitable only for users 18 years of age or older. By using InMe, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
2.2 Account Registration
You may be required to create an account to access certain features
You must provide accurate and complete information
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
2.3 Account Security
Choose a strong, unique password
Do not share your account credentials with anyone
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account
2.4 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent activity
Abusive behavior
Any illegal activity
You may delete your account at any time through InMe settings or by contacting us.
3. Description of Service
3.1 What InMe Provides
InMe is an interactive entertainment experience featuring:
Pre-recorded video content with AI-powered characters
Choice-based branching storylines
Progress tracking and virtual relationship development
In-app currency (Gems) for accessing content
Subscription options for premium features
3.2 Nature of AI Interactions
Important: InMe provides fictional, entertainment-based interactions. You acknowledge and agree that:
AI characters are not real people: All characters are fictional. Video content is portrayed by actors in pre-recorded videos; chat responses are generated by AI
No real relationships: Interactions do not constitute real romantic relationships
Entertainment only: The Service is for entertainment purposes only and should not be treated as a substitute for real human interaction
3.2.1 Video Content
All video dialogue and responses are pre-written, pre-recorded, and reviewed
Video interactions are based on predefined choice options
3.2.2 AI Chat Feature
AI-generated responses: Chat responses are generated in real-time by third-party AI service providers (currently Google Gemini). The provider may change over time.
Not human: You are chatting with an AI system, not a real person
May be inaccurate: AI responses may contain errors, inaccuracies, or fictional information
No professional advice: AI characters do NOT provide professional advice (medical, legal, financial, psychological, or otherwise)
Content limitations: AI responses are filtered for inappropriate content but may occasionally produce unexpected outputs
3.2.3 AI Memory System
The AI Chat feature includes a memory system that enhances your experience:
Automatic Information Extraction: The AI automatically extracts key information from your conversations, such as your preferences, mentioned events, emotional states, and relationship milestones
Persistent Memory: This extracted information is stored separately from your chat history and is used to make AI responses more personalized and contextually relevant
Not Perfect: The AI memory system may misremember, forget, or incorrectly interpret information from your conversations
No Sensitive Reliance: Do NOT share sensitive personal information (financial details, passwords, medical information) with AI characters, as it may be extracted and stored
By using the AI Chat feature, you consent to the automatic extraction and storage of conversational information as described above and in our Privacy Policy.
3.2.4 AI Chat Disclaimer
YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
AI-generated chat responses are computer-generated and may be inaccurate, inappropriate, inconsistent, or entirely fictional
You should NOT rely on AI responses as factual information or professional advice
We are NOT responsible for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content
We are NOT liable for any harm, loss, or damage caused by AI-generated responses
AI characters may not remember all previous conversations accurately
AI behavior and responses may change over time as the underlying technology is updated
3.3 Progress and Connection Levels
"Connection" or "intimacy" levels represent in-app game progress only
These metrics do not reflect real emotions or relationships
Progress is saved to enhance your entertainment experience
You can reset progress at any time in Settings
3.4 Content Availability
We may add, remove, or modify content at any time without notice
Not all content may be available in all regions
We do not guarantee that any particular content will remain available
3.5 Share Feature
How Sharing Works:
InMe allows you to share characters and stories with others:
Tap the share button on any character or story
Use your device's native share sheet to send the link via any app (Messages, Instagram, etc.)
Recipients receive a public URL that opens a landing page
The landing page displays character/story information and provides buttons to open InMe or download from the App Store / Google Play Store
Share Link Characteristics:
Public URLs: Share links are public and can be accessed by anyone who has the link
No Expiration: Links remain active indefinitely (unless you delete your account)
No Personal Information: Links do not contain your username, email, or any personal identifiers
Content Only: Links display only the character name and story title you chose to share
Landing Page Functionality:
When someone clicks your share link, they see a web page that:
Displays the character and story you shared
Provides a button to open InMe (if installed) or download from the App Store / Google Play Store
Does not require login or account creation to view
Does not collect personal information from visitors
4. User Conduct
4.1 Acceptable Use
You agree to use InMe only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
Prohibited Activities:
Use InMe if you are under 18 years of age
Share your account with others
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble InMe
Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access InMe
Interfere with or disrupt InMe's functionality
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
Use InMe for any illegal purpose
Violate any applicable laws or regulations
4.1.1 AI Chat Conduct
When using the AI Chat feature, you additionally agree NOT to:
Send illegal content, including but not limited to content involving minors, terrorism, or criminal activity
Attempt to "jailbreak," manipulate, or bypass AI safety measures or content filters
Send content designed to generate harmful, illegal, or policy-violating responses
Share personal information of third parties without their consent
Use chat for harassment, threats, bullying, or abuse
Send spam, advertisements, or promotional content
Impersonate real individuals or claim AI responses are from real people
Use chat outputs for any commercial purpose without our written permission
Attempt to extract training data or proprietary information from the AI
Content Moderation: We employ automated systems to detect and block prohibited content. Violations may result in:
Blocking of specific messages
Temporary suspension of chat access
Permanent account termination
Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal content)
4.2 Reporting Violations

4.3 Consequences of Violation
Violation of these Terms may result in:
Warning notice
Temporary suspension of account
Permanent termination of account
Loss of all purchased content and currency
5. Purchases and Payments
5.1 Virtual Currency (Gems)
InMe uses virtual currency called "Gems" to access certain content
Gems have no real-world value and cannot be redeemed for cash
Gems are non-transferable and non-refundable (except as required by law)
Unused Gems do not earn interest
We may change Gem prices at any time
5.1.1 Gem Usage in AI Chat:
Each message you send in the AI Chat feature consumes Gems
The exact Gem cost per message is determined by our current pricing configuration and may change at any time without prior notice
Receiving AI responses does not consume Gems
If you do not have sufficient Gems, you will be unable to send messages until you purchase more Gems
We may offer a limited number of free daily messages at our discretion; the availability and quantity of free messages may change at any time
5.1.2 Gem Forfeiture:
If your account is terminated for Terms violations, all unused Gems will be forfeited without refund
If you delete your account, all unused Gems will be permanently lost
If InMe is discontinued, we will provide 30 days notice and offer refunds for recently purchased Gems (within 90 days)
5.2 Subscriptions
Subscription Features:
Premium subscriptions provide access to unlimited content and additional features
Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly, annually, etc.)
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device settings

5.3 Pricing
All prices are in USD (or local currency as applicable)
Prices include applicable taxes where required
We reserve the right to change prices at any time
Price changes will not affect active subscriptions until renewal
5.4 Payment Processing and In-App Purchases
In-App Purchases:
All Gem purchases are processed through the platform's native payment system:
iOS: Apple In-App Purchase (IAP)
Android: Google Play Billing
Purchases are subject to the respective platform's Terms of Service and payment policies
We do NOT store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address
Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) handles all payment processing, billing, and financial transactions
Purchase Verification:
After purchase, the platform sends us a receipt to verify your transaction
We validate the receipt with the platform's servers before crediting Gems to your account
This process typically completes within seconds, but may take up to 5 minutes
Restore Purchases:
You can restore previous Gem purchases on new devices or after reinstalling InMe
Go to Settings → Account → Restore Purchases
iOS: This feature uses your Apple ID to retrieve purchase history from Apple. Only purchases made with the same Apple ID can be restored
Android: This feature uses your Google account to retrieve purchase history from Google Play. Only purchases made with the same Google account can be restored
Cross-platform: Purchases made on iOS cannot be restored on Android, and vice versa. Gems are tied to the platform where they were purchased
Family Sharing:
Gem purchases are NOT eligible for Family Sharing (iOS) or Google Play Family Library (Android)
Each user must purchase Gems separately with their own account
This is because Gems are tied to individual InMe accounts
Purchase Issues:
If Gems don't appear after purchase, try "Restore Purchases" first
If the issue persists, contact us at inmeaistory@gmail.com with your transaction ID
For payment disputes or billing questions:

Android: Contact Google Play Support
5.5 Refunds
General Policy:
Refunds are handled according to the respective platform's policies (Apple App Store for iOS, Google Play Store for Android)
Generally, refunds are available within 14 days of purchase (subject to each platform's terms)
Virtual currency (Gems) is typically non-refundable once purchased
Subscription refunds are prorated based on unused time (subject to the platform's policies)
How to Request a Refund:
iOS: Visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support
Android: Visit Google Play Store → Account → Order history, or contact Google Play Support
Direct Request: Email inmeaistory@gmail.com (we will assist with the platform refund process)
Exceptions:
Technical issues preventing access to purchased content may qualify for refunds
Fraudulent charges will be investigated and refunded if verified
Refunds required by local consumer protection laws will be honored
6. Intellectual Property
6.1 Our Rights
All content and materials available in InMe, including but not limited to:
Videos, images, audio, and graphics
Text, dialogue, and storylines
Software code and algorithms
Trademarks, logos, and branding (InMe name and logo)
Character names, likenesses, and personas
Are owned by Zibing Cai or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
6.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
Access and use InMe for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes
View content within InMe according to your subscription or purchase level
This license does NOT permit you to:
Copy, reproduce, or distribute InMe content
Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
Publicly perform or display InMe content
Use InMe content for commercial purposes
Remove copyright or trademark notices
6.2.1 Share Feature Terms and Responsibilities
Your Rights When Sharing:
You may share InMe content using the built-in share feature, subject to these conditions:
Share links are for personal, non-commercial use only
You may share links through any platform or app (social media, messaging, email, etc.)
You may share links with any number of people
Your Responsibilities:
When you share content from InMe, you agree to:
Respect Privacy: Share links are public. Do not share if you want to keep your InMe usage private.
Age-Appropriate Sharing: Only share with individuals who are 18 years of age or older. InMe content is rated 18+ and not suitable for minors.
Comply with Platform Rules: Follow the terms of service of platforms you share to (Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc.)
No Misrepresentation: Do not misrepresent InMe content as your own creation or falsely claim affiliation with InMe
No Spam or Harassment: Do not use share links for spam, harassment, or unsolicited commercial messages
Appropriate Context: Share content in appropriate contexts that respect the mature nature of InMe
Prohibited Uses of Share Feature:
You may NOT:
Modify, manipulate, or reverse-engineer share links
Use automated tools or bots to generate or distribute share links
Use share links to circumvent in-app purchases, subscriptions, or access controls
Use share links for commercial purposes without our written permission
Attempt to extract or scrape data from landing pages
Create misleading or deceptive content around share links
Our Rights:
We reserve the right to:
Deactivate any share link at any time, for any reason
Modify the content, format, or functionality of landing pages without notice
Disable share functionality for accounts that abuse the feature
Remove or modify landing pages that violate these Terms or applicable laws
No Warranty for Shared Content:
We do not guarantee that:
Share links will remain active indefinitely
Landing pages will always be accessible
Shared content will remain unchanged
Links will work on all devices or platforms

Any transactions with third parties
8. Content and Moderation
8.1 Our Content
All video content and dialogue in InMe is:
Pre-recorded and reviewed by our content team
Intended for users 18 years of age or older
Created for entertainment purposes only
Subject to our content guidelines and standards
8.2 Content Standards
We strive to maintain appropriate content that:
Complies with applicable laws and regulations
Respects cultural sensitivities
Avoids excessive violence, hate speech, or illegal content
Aligns with our mature content rating (18+)
8.3 Content Removal
We reserve the right to remove or modify any content at any time, without notice, for any reason.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
9.1 Service "As Is"
INME IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of content
9.2 No Guarantee of Availability
We do not guarantee that:
InMe will be available at all times or without interruption
InMe will be error-free or bug-free
Defects will be corrected
InMe is free from viruses or harmful components
9.3 Entertainment Disclaimer
INME IS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES REGARDING:
The suitability of InMe for therapeutic or relationship advice purposes
The emotional impact of using InMe
InMe as a substitute for real human relationships
9.4 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
Emotional distress or psychological harm
Damages resulting from:
Your use or inability to use InMe
Unauthorized access to your account
Errors or omissions in content
Third-party conduct or content
Any interruption or cessation of InMe
MAXIMUM LIABILITY: In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 USD, whichever is less.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Zibing Cai from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with:
Your access to or use of InMe
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any law or regulation
Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
11. Health and Safety
11.1 Mental Health Disclaimer
IMPORTANT NOTICE: InMe is designed for entertainment purposes only and is not a substitute for professional mental health services.
We are not responsible for:
Emotional distress arising from InMe use
Development of emotional dependency on AI characters
Effects on your real-life relationships
Any psychological impact from using InMe
11.2 Seeking Professional Help
If you experience:
Emotional distress, anxiety, or depression
Difficulty distinguishing between virtual and real relationships
Obsessive thoughts about InMe characters
Negative impact on your real-life relationships
Please seek help from qualified mental health professionals.

11.3 Responsible Use Recommendations
We encourage you to:

12. Privacy and Data Protection
12.1 Privacy Policy
Your use of InMe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
12.2 Data Collection and Storage
By using InMe, you acknowledge and consent to:
The collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy
Your account data being stored on secure servers located in the United States
Cloud synchronization and cross-device access features
Third-party authentication services (if you choose to use them):
Optional marketing communications (you can opt-out anytime)
Push Notifications:
By using InMe and enabling push notifications, you agree that we may send you:
Story Update Notifications: Alerts when stories you've engaged with have new content
Character New Story Notifications: Alerts when characters you've interacted with have new stories available
Re-engagement Notifications: Reminders to return to InMe if you haven't been active recently
Notification Frequency and Limits:
We will send a maximum of 3 push notifications per day
Notifications will not be sent during quiet hours (10 PM - 8 AM your local time)
Notifications will be spaced at least 4 hours apart
Managing Notifications:
You can disable push notifications at any time:
iOS: Settings → InMe → Notifications
Android: Settings → Apps → InMe → Notifications
In-App Settings: Settings → Notifications (opens system settings)
Disabling notifications does not affect your use of InMe or access to content
13. Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:
Deleting your account through InMe (Profile → Settings → Delete Account)
Contacting us at inmeaistory@gmail.com
Note: Simply uninstalling InMe does NOT delete your account data from our servers
Upon account deletion:
Your access to InMe will cease
Your subscription will be canceled (no refund for unused time unless required by law). You must also cancel the subscription through your platform:
iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions
Android: Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions
Your account data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days
If you signed in with Apple, the authentication credential will be revoked
If you signed in with Google, the authentication credential will be revoked
Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered
13.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice, if:
You violate these Terms
You engage in fraudulent activity
You are abusive to other users or our staff
We are required to do so by law
We discontinue InMe
13.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
All licenses granted to you will immediately cease
You must stop using InMe
Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect (e.g., intellectual property, disclaimers, indemnification)
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14.2 Informal Resolution
Before filing a formal dispute, please contact us at inmeaistory@gmail.com to seek informal resolution. We will attempt to resolve the matter within 30 days.
14.3 Jurisdiction
For any disputes that cannot be resolved informally, you agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.
15. General Provisions
15.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding InMe.
15.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
15.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision.
15.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
15.5 Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from causes beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, internet failures).

16. Apple App Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded InMe from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:
16.1 Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that:
These Terms are between you and Zibing Cai, not Apple
Apple is not responsible for InMe or its content
Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for InMe
16.2 Scope of License
The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use InMe on an Apple-branded device that you own or control and as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
16.3 Maintenance and Support
We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for InMe, as specified in these Terms or as required by law. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services.
16.4 Warranty
We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law
In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any)
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation
16.5 Product Claims
We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to InMe or your possession and use of it.
16.6 Third-Party Beneficiary
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
17. Google Play Store Additional Terms
If you downloaded InMe from the Google Play Store, the following additional terms apply:
17.1 Acknowledgment
You acknowledge that:
These Terms are between you and Zibing Cai, not Google
Google is not responsible for InMe or its content
Google has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for InMe
17.2 Scope of License
The license granted to you is limited to a non-transferable license to use InMe on an Android device that you own or control and as permitted by the Google Play Terms of Service.
17.3 Maintenance and Support
We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for InMe, as specified in these Terms or as required by law. Google has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services.
17.4 Warranty
We are solely responsible for any product warranties, whether express or implied by law
In the event of any failure to conform to any applicable warranty, you may request a refund through Google Play
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Google has no other warranty obligation
17.5 Product Claims
We, not Google, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to InMe or your possession and use of it.
17.6 Google Play Policies
Your use of InMe on Android is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service and Google Play Developer Distribution Agreement.
